Mirror Magic ~ is the first iPhone mirror application that allows you to utilize the CMOS camera technologies contained within your smart phone to easily view a real-time image of yourself. Because the camera lens is on one side of the iPhone and the LCD viewing area on the other, it is almost impossible to accurately frame and capture a very good image of yourself. Mirror Magic eliminates this problem by using Facial Detection Technology (FDT) to determine when the camera is aimed, framed and aligned squarely on your face. This is a component of the same technology utilized in facial recognition. The application alerts you that it has successfully detected your face by beeping. It will then capture your image as soon as it senses that your hand or more accurately, the camera, is steady. You hear the shutter click when it takes the picture. It will then vibrate in case you are in a noisy environment, like a nightclub. You don’t need to press the shutter, it does that automatically once it detects your face. If you find yourself at the beach, horseback riding, skiing, camping or anyplace you take your iPhone, you will now be able to check your appearance, anywhere, anytime and anyplace. You can then utilize four levels of zoom to check your hair, makeup, contact lenses or even view the person standing behind you. The application also allows you to take another shot if you are unhappy with the first, using the “Retake” button, or you can just shake the phone until you hear the sound of breaking glass and it will be ready to capture another image. Mirror Magic is a great example of good iPhone software: functional; simple; Intuitive; accurate and reliable. We have a suite of exciting applications that utilize this core FDT Mirror technology that will be released over the next few months. Please check our web site to access updates as they become available. Thanks for your interest and we hope you enjoy our first app. The Apollo Mobil Application development team, Israel and Mike |
